Introducing, Mindy Hornsby Murphy!
MindyHornsbyA 1989 Oak Hills High School graduate, Mindy attended J.F. Dulles from kindergarten through the sixth grade and Bridgetown Junior High School from seventh through ninth grade. After graduation she worked as a hairstylist and salon owner at the Christ Hospital Cut and Style from 1990 until 2005.


Mindy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Ron Murphy ‘89, for 19 years. They are parents to three boys: Tyler-13, Tanner-12 and Trenton-7 who currently attend OHLSD schools.


Mindy is an extremely active Oak Hills volunteer making her the perfect fit for the levy committee! She served on the J.F. Dulles PTA board for the last six years. Currently, she serves as the Dulles chair for Spirit and the OAA Testing Breakfast. This year, she is also serving on the Rapid Run PTA board as the Third Vice President. She is the chair of the Rapid Run flings, dances, and the eighth grade day celebration.


“I love Oak Hills Schools and I'm excited to serve in this new role,” she said.

Also welcome, Linda Hornsby!


LindaHornsbyLinda graduated from Oak Hills High School in 1965, attended Bowling Green State University and the University of Cincinnati. She has been married for 45 years to her high school sweetheart (runs in the family!), Garry (Spud) Hornsby who also attended OHHS and is currently employed at the high school.


She recently retired from The Christ Hospital where she worked for 38 years as an Administrative Assistant for Infection Control, doing data collection/analysis and software development. She’ll be the perfect asset to the levy committee, keeping everyone organized and on their toes.


Linda raised two daughters in Oak Hills schools and her family is very involved in the district. Garry is a retired chemical lab manager and currently works at the high school, monitoring the halls with his new sidekick, Atticus. Her other daughter, Kristi Bashara, is an Assistant Principal at the high school .


Linda has five grandsons attending school in the district and she has dedicated most of her life working for youth activities and encouraging strong character development among the youth.
